I think I just found the perfect compliment to Hojich Fugue… Vanilla. This actually came as a bit of a suprise to me since I’m not very fond of vanilla black tea. When mixed with the rich, lightly smoky flavor of Hojicha Fugue tea however, the resulting tea has a wonderful aroma and flavor. The taste of vanilla remains light and simply compliments the great taste of Hojicha Fugue. I highly recommend this mix if you have both tea around.

Adagio’s Vanilla Tea
According to the International Ice Cream Association, Vanilla is by far the most popular flavor, getting a full 23% of all ice cream consumption. Inspired by this love of vanilla, Adagio has created Vanilla Tea. Combining the delectable flavor of sweet vanilla beans and premium Ceylon black tea, I’ll scream, you’ll scream, we’ll all scream for… Vanilla tea!

Adagio’s Hojicha Fugue
Green tea from Japan that is rendered brown by roasting Bancha tea leaves over charcoals. The popularity of our “Hojicha Fugue” stems from its nutty and very accessible mesquite taste. The roasting process lowers its caffeine content. So if you are looking for a low-caffeine green tea, this is a wonderful alternative to our decaffeinated choices.

Wow, this was a nice way to wake up on the weekend. It reminds me of vanilla ice cream with chunks of nuts. It produces a strong, sweet aroma. The flavor is just as strong as the smell, and the caffeine is sure to wake you up when you want it.

Both VanillaVanilla and ChestnutChestnut are fantastic teas by themselves. That great flavor follows straight to this wonderful mix.

With that minty smell that will clear your nostrils, a glass of chocolateChocolate peppermintPepperminttea is sure to please. Mixed at an 1 to ratio, this tea is very minty. For more of the chocolate flavor, use twice as much chocolate tea.

After leaving some of this tea in the refrigerator for a week. I’ve found that this makes an extremely pleasant iced tea. If you make it, make extra. Chill it, and try it later.

Optional:

  1. Make it creamy. Add a splash of milk or creme for more of a hot chocolate taste.
  2. Use to replace the water in a powdered hot coco mix.

This morning I had a chance to try a nice, new, seasonal tea… Gingerbread. This is one of those teas that you can smell across the room as soon as you open the container. The taste isn’t nearly as strong as the smell, but the slightly spicy flavor of gingerbread still come through. This is a good pick for the fall season as the days grow colder.

Just in time for the holidays, Adagio releases Pumpkin SpiceAdagio Tea. This black tea hints of pumpkin pie with a little spice and nutmeg flavor.

Personally, I think this is a great tea for the morning. It’s a wonderful substitute for your morning coffee. It has a great smell, rich flavor, and has enough caffeine to help wake you up.

While this tea is tasty by itself, you may want to try this simple mix. First, brew this tea with 1.5 teaspoons per cup. Then add a little milk, or soy milk. Now that makes a creamy tea.

Sassafras tea has an extremely strong smell. I could have swore it was soda the first time I smelled it. I wouldn’t have thought of it for tea, but it works well. The taste is mild and the tea is not bitter at all.

Keep your brewing time on this one to 5.5 minutes max. Anything more and the tea becomes mildly bitter.
