Add the sent of flowers to your favorite herbal tea. Wild Strawberry is one of my favorite fruit herbal teas. When I want to give it a twist, or add something for that special occasion, try adding Sakura. Sakura will give your tea a mild hint of cherry and the smell of a bouquet of flowers.

These two teas produce a sweet caramel apple flavor and a deep orange color. This tea is naturally sweet. Even the young ones won’t need any sugar when drinking this. It combines the earthy flavor of African rooibos with the sweet taste of caramel and tangy apple.

This is a wonderful light green tea with a touch of blueberries. I mix equal amounts of these two teas. Then steep it quickly for 3 minutes. This tea will have the intricate flavors of a fine green tea with just a hint of berries. It becomes a very pale purple, and is great for the evening.

After a long day, I just want to sit down, relax and have a nice cup of tea. This one is perfect for the end of the day. It has no caffeine and is full of flavor. So you can enjoy this tea, and fall asleep afterwords.

One of the things I love about fruity herbal teas, is that they usually taste great both hot and cold. I make tea like this in pitchers, pour a glass and then put the rest in the fridge for later.

Strawberry Pina Colada
October 26th, 2005 :

Teas

In search of that perfect after-beer tea; I decided to go with a 100% herbal, fruit drink. After seeing that I only had a little bit of Pina Colada left, I decided to make a pitcher. Making some hot tea for now and some iced tea for later.

As a hot tea, the smell of coconuts and pineapple really comes through. The taste is a bit tart, but complimented with the subtle taste of strawberry and coconut. I wouldn’t put this on amongst my favorite teas, but it does seem to do pretty well after a few beers.

As Iced Tea, this is quite refreshing. More of the Pina Colada flavor comes through, acented by the mild taste of strawberry.

With that minty smell that will clear your nostrils, a glass of chocolateChocolate peppermintPepperminttea is sure to please. Mixed at an 1 to ratio, this tea is very minty. For more of the chocolate flavor, use twice as much chocolate tea.

After leaving some of this tea in the refrigerator for a week. I’ve found that this makes an extremely pleasant iced tea. If you make it, make extra. Chill it, and try it later.

Optional:

  1. Make it creamy. Add a splash of milk or creme for more of a hot chocolate taste.
  2. Use to replace the water in a powdered hot coco mix.
