Jing Teas
January 1st, 2006 :

Thanks to Louise Cummins at Jing Teas, I received a nice little package of teas the other day. Louise was gracious enough to send samples of these wonderful teas; Jing Anhui Green (green tea), High Mountain Dark Roast (oolong tea) & White Peony (white tea). They all look fantastic and I can’t wait to try them all and share them with friends through the holidays.

To preserve their freshness, they all arrived in vacuum seal foil packages. I don’t see this often and would love to see more loose tea companies try it. When you first open a pack, and the air seeps in, there is a wonderful aroma that rushes back out at you.

Jing Tea is based in the UK. If you live in europe and are looking for some great fresh teas, give JingTea.co.uk a try. They have a great selection of loose teas and tea ware. Their site is also tied into the Journal of Chinese Medicine so you can find a lot of great information on the health benefits of teas and other natural herbs.

The New MrTea.org
January 1st, 2006 :

As you may have noticed, MrTea.org has undergone a mild transformation. I’ve been spening some time upgrading this site to make more things possible in it in the future. I’m working on making it easier for you to find more information on the teas of which you are interested. Along with searching by category, you will soon be able to search by company. So if you find a brand of tea that you really enjoy, I hope this will help you find some new teas from that company to try.

Along with all of the backend changes that you can’t see, the most obvious change is the site design. I hope you’ll enjoy the new look of the site. You may also notice that all of the past post contain more links to related tea categories.

Free Tea. Compliments of Adagio
October 29th, 2005 :

I just received some free green tea sample teas and an ingenuiTEAingenuiTEA. I must say, this just may be the best deal in tea. Adagio is currently running a promotion where you can get some free tea for linking to them. The higher your Google PR is, the better the reward is. If you run a website with a good PR, give Adagio a link and experience some new tea.

For more details on adagio’s link rewards program, click hereAdagio Link Rewards. For details on the adagio starter set you could possibly receive, click hereAdagios Starter Set.

The reward I received was a green tea starter set. This came with 4 types of green tea including citron green, genmai cha, green pekoe & hojicha. It also came with an ingenuiTEAingenuiTEA. The ingenuiTEAingenuiTEA might possibly be the most ingenious way to steep tea ever created. If you try it once, you’ll never brew tea the same way again.
