Teas

  • Lung Chin Green - DragonwellDragonwell
  • Sakura - Cherry Blossoms

3 minutes at 180°

Here is a nice way to compliment your dragonwell. Simply add some cherry blossoms. It gives your sweet green tea the subtle flavor of cherries and a aromatic floral smell.

This is best served hot, but is good any time of the day. Enjoy.

Teas

If you like teas with a light blueberry taste, this is the tea for you. This fruity tea mix is nearly caffein free and is a great end of the day drink. It’s also blueberry good.

The general idea with this type of tea mixture is to take any nice white tea and mix it with your favorite fruity herbal tea. You always end up with a nice light tea with a lot of flavor.

Spicy, Sweet and Tart - My Eyptian Mix
October 21st, 2005 :

Teas

5 minutes at 180°

This is my new favorite tea drink. It taste like nothing I’ve ever had. It is based off of an Egyptian recipe I found. It’s sweet, tart, spicy and red-purple.

Heat some water to 180°. This is just before boiling. Mix with Hibiscus, Rose Hips, Lemon Grass, Spearmint & half of a cinnamon stick. Steep for 5 minutes. Strain the tea. Then mix in the sugar.

I prefer to have this one ice cold, but it’s pretty damn good hot too.

Hibiscus

Teas

  • Hibiscus

3 Minutes at 180°

Strangely sweet is perhaps the best way to describe this type of tea. This is probably best served cold, and can be great on a summer day.

In just 3 minutes Hibiscus brews up a dark red in color and is full of flavor. So much so, that I think I may have to try it mixed with a good black tea. I saw a version of Hibiscus TeaAdagiohere.

Sakura - Japanese Cherry Blossoms
October 10th, 2005 :

Teas:

  • Sakura, Japanese Cherry Blossom

3 minutes at 180°

There is simply nothing like this. In just 3 minutes this tea is rich with flavor. Depending on how much you use, it can be a very pale pink or a very dark, cherry red. To top it off, this tea smells like a cup of flowers. This tea cost a little more than usual, but can be great for special occasions.

Sakura is sometime produced just with cherry blossoms. This one however, has a mild green tea mixed in. It’s a nice balance to the cherry taste.

Sassafras Black
October 9th, 2005 :

Teas

5 minutes at 212 °

Sassafras tea has an extremely strong smell. I could have swore it was soda the first time I smelled it. I wouldn’t have thought of it for tea, but it works well. The taste is mild and the tea is not bitter at all.

Keep your brewing time on this one to 5.5 minutes max. Anything more and the tea becomes mildly bitter.

Mint Pan-fired Green Tea

Teas

Add a little mint to your tea. It’s a great way to put a new twist on a common tea.

In this one, I added a little Spearmintadagio teas to some pan-fired green tea. Pan-fired tea is fairly mild and has a slight nutty flavor. Add a little mint, and it’s something completely different.

This is a little something I’ve picked up from childhood when I used to make sun-brewed tea. We would put a fresh stalk of mint in the glass container as it brewed. Then chill it down in the refrigerator. It’s very refreshing, especially on a hot summer day.

Strawberry Rose Hips
October 6th, 2005 :

Teas

8 minutes at 212°

Rose Hips are extremely high in vitamin C. They contain about 10 times as much vitamin C as an orange.

Brewing them for tea takes a little longer than most, as you need to steep them for 8 to 10 minutes. This makes them good for mixing with other herbal teas, in this case strawberry.

This tea taste like a slightly tart strawberry and is orange-red in color. It is a little fruity, but has a taste that can’t be found anywhere else.
